Founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi, Artemide is an illumination brand openly known in the entire world that has become a synonym of design, innovations and “Made in Italy”. Artemide stands out for its philosophy “The Human Light”, which locates the man and the research of wellness in the center of conception and design of its products, and for the high level of technology innovation in all the pieces. Between them highlight products that have contributed to the history of international design as Eclisse (1967, by vico Magistretti), Tolomeo (1089, by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina), Pipe (2004, by Herzog & De Meuron) and IN-EI (2014, Issey Miyake), all winners of the Compasso d’Oro prize.

Artemide is one of the worldwide leaders of the illumination sector, residential and professional of high standard, which, since the beginning, collaborates with the more renowned international designers and actively promotes workshops with design schools with the aim to discover the best young talents. In the present, its lamps are considered internationally as icons of the contemporary design and most of them are exposed in museums of modern art.
