"Vivere alla Ponti", the inauguration in pictures
Last May 31, MINIM and the Molteni&C company carried out the inauguration of the exhibition "Vivere alla Ponti". An exhibition that pays homage to this great master of design and architecture of the 20th century, through his domestic designs, the buildings he designed, his obsession with detail and a vision of modernity that is still current.
Curated by Francesca Molteni and Franco Raggi with the collaboration of Salvatore Licitra, Gio Ponti Archives, College of Architects of Milan, Molteni Museum and Edison, the exhibition covers the architectural experiences of industrial and residential buildings and boat interiors designed by Gio Ponti And gathers a selection of furniture designed by him.
The event featured the screening of the documentary "Amare Gio Ponti", after which Francesca Molteni, director of the documentary, Salvatore Licitra, grandson of Gio Ponti, and Elina Vilá, architect of the vilablanch studio, discovered interesting aspects about life and work Of this great teacher. At the end, Anna Coderch had an intimate conversation with Salvatore, recalling the moments shared between her father, Jose Antonio Coderch, and Gio Ponti.
This exhibition, part of the Barcelona Design Week 2017 and arriving for the first time in Spain after traveling in different countries, can be visited free of charge in the MINIM showroom until June 23. Don't miss it!
