Edu Macías, winner of the MINIM award at the XXX Habitácola awards edition
June 7th at 20.00h the XXX Habitácola award ceremony took place on the 60th edition of the FAD awards
One of the awards that were held during the gala was the MINIM award, whose prize includes the commission and conducts ephemeral at the MINIM showcase, in Barcelona. The winner of this edition was Edu Macías, from The Municipal School of Arts in Terrassa, on his project "Matrioxka". Congratulations!
The judges awarded him for being "A microarchitecture modular construction formally resolved that could colonize another book mobile stops. It has a life of its own and creates a public space in service of the book mobile".

XXX Habitacola awards edition
The Habitácola Awards, promoted by ArquinFAD since 1987, is a contest aimed at students in the architecture, design and interior design sector, which aims to diffuse the importance of creativity, social commitment and professional rigor among agencies and the general population, supporting and promoting new iniciatives, new approaches and new emerging talents. MINIM is sponsor of the Habitácola Awards since 2017, through which they offer the opportunity to design their Christmas showcase.
The themes for this awards treats relevant aspects for the society such as unresolved issues. On its XXX birth edition, the main theme has been about the book mobile stops. A meditation about reading spaces and a reading promotion on public spaces.
The jury of this year's edition will be formed by:
