"La Cima de Coderch", presentation with Bea Sarrias and Morrosko Vila-San-Juan
On June 18, at the same time as the Barcelona Design Week, MINIM Barcelona hosted the presentation of an artistic project done by the painter Bea Sarrias and the journalist and filmmaker Morrosko Vila-San-Juan, who paid tribute to a not much known work from Coderch: "La Cima".
The event brought together more than 150 people, including Anna Coderch, daughter of Master Coderch, and Carlos Fochs, architect who participated in the audio-visual made by Morrosko.
During the presentation, attendees were able to discover "La Cima", a summer house designed by the architect José Antonio Coderch, through the paintings by Bea Sarrias and the audio-visual by Morrosko Vila-San-Juan. The house is located on top of a hill in Caldes d'Estrac, a few kilometers from Barcelona and very close to the famous "Casa Ugalde" - Coderch's summit work -, "La Cima" is today an uninhabited and to restore house that is being devoured by nature.
The 20 paintings by the artist Bea Sarrias that are exhibited in MINIM Barcelona showroom helps to immortalize this little known work by Coderch. The paintings capture how time influences on different corners of the house. The Morrosko Vila-San-Juan film was screened at the same time as the presentation took place. This allowed us to walk outside and inside the house and capture the essence of this house that symbolizes a unique architecture that struggles not to disappear. The audio-visual was attended by Carlos Fochs, Ana Coderch, Miquel Hernández, Rosa Ferrer Salat and Eduardo de Ros.
The exhibition "La Cima de Coderch" can be visited until August 9 at MINIM Barcelona.
