Coderch returns to MINIM Barcelona with "La Cima"
"La Cima", a summer house designed by the architect Jose Antonio Coderch, simbolises a unique architecture that struggles not to disappear. The painter Bea Sarrias and Morrosko Vila-San-Juan, producer and journalist, carry out a pictorial and audiovisual project that brings us closer to this little house Coderch build for himself as a family summer house. The project will be presented to the public for the first time in the showroom MINIM Barcelona.
Located at the top of a hill in Caldes d'Estrac, a few kilometers away from Barcelona and near to the famous "Casa Ugalde" - by the same architect-, "La Cima" is nowadays an uninhabited house to restore that is being devoured by nature.
Large format paintings by the artist Bea Sarrias help to inmortalise this little- known work, capturing how time has been leaving a trace in every corner of this house. The film by Morrosko Vila-San-Juan is an extension to those paintings. A film that show us the possible stories hidden behind the paintings.
