Vicente Moreno, born in the capital and graduated in Naval Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, brings his wonderful mobiles to MINIM.

"Mobilis in Mobili", which can be visited at the MINIM Madrid showroom until September 2, 2023, was the motto of Captain Nemo's Nautilus submarine. The Madrid engineer used it several times, throughout his professional career, to explain how companies - and people - must adapt to the environment in which they move, without ever stopping.

Vicente began creating these structures in 2017, inspired by the work of Calder, whom he has always admired. Experimenting with manual work, he sets himself the goal of creating something beautiful, clever and that will last over time. In this way, he achieves pieces with a cheerful and intelligent design that do not consume energy, do not make noise and come to life with a minimum movement of air.

''See how something new is "born" the day you finish it, turning a set of inanimate materials into something that will live forever, rocked only by a breeze that we don't even notice, but that reminds us that life doesn't stop, It's my favorite thing about building mobiles''.

Each of his mobiles has unique and unrepeatable characteristics: a different shape, a different balance, a new material, a unique movement and, of course, a technical challenge. In some of his mobiles, he does not seek only harmony but functionality: some absorb ambient sound, others are weathervanes, others stimulate the vision of babies when they are only months old... All are unique and ingenious pieces whose greatest challenge lies in the laborious work that involves turning an idea into beautiful structures.

We invite you to discover the balance between engineering and art through more than 20 MOBILIS, moveable and motionless, together with some of the plans and annotations that Vicente Moreno takes during the creative and production process.
