"Icefall: a waterfall frozen in time" by Tomás Lorente, wins the MINIM Madrid 2021 Christmas Shop window contest.

MINIM Madrid Christmas show window contest reaches its third edition. This is a contest in which MINIM Madrid offers IADE (School of Design) students the opportunity to design the shop window that our showroom in Madrid will display during the holiday season.

On this occasion, the main pieces chosen to star in the showcase were the Glo-Ball table lamps by Flos, in three different sizes. The window dressing proposal had to convey two clear concepts: Christmas and contemporary design.

The winning proposal was “Icefall: a waterfall frozen in time” by Tomás Lorente. This project invites us to observe and reflect, to stop time for a few moments and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us, like when you find an ice waterfall during a winter walk. Glo Ball lamps are integrated into the decoration, made up of methacrylates and vinyls in different colors, respecting the view of the interior of the showroom.

The projects presented were evaluated by a jury made up of Quinita Cotorruelo, director of MINIM Madrid, and professors from the IADE School.
