Mercè Colomer participates in a round table at The Llotja
Mercè Colomer was one of the participants in the round table "Casos reals en el disseny d'interiors" which was held on April 24 at the La Llotja High School in Barcelona. This event is part of the cycle "Casos de l'especialitat" and brought together different professionals from the sector: Mercè Colomer, Pep Boltà, Fernando Martínez and Maribel Caballero.
The round table dealt with how the profession is lived, from the perspective and experience of 4 professionals from different fields of interior design.
Mercè Colomer is the showroom manager of MINIM Barcelona since its founding in 2002. She currently directs a team of 10 interior designers who develop comprehensive furnishing and lighting projects for individuals, professionals and promoters/construction companies. Her team integrates two Alumnis from La Llotja.
Pep Boltà (Llotja, promotion 1991) has been working in his own studio for more than 20 years together with an architect. He has carried out projects for individuals and companies. Also project for some public administrations (hospitality, exhibitions, equipment, housing, ...). He has been a member of the evaluation committees of the Final study project of the interior specialty of ESDAP Catalunya. Pep currently works for a company specializing in creating exhibitions and stands.
Fernando Martínez is alumni Llotja (promotion 2014). Since he finalized his studios he is working to Renova Soluciones, a study focused on the reform of habitats with a personal perspective on schools and the entry into the labor market.
Maribel Caballero, after her experience in various design studios, will now create Circulocuadrado that she will co-direct with her partner. At Circulocuadrado she will also work with an interior designer from Llotja (promotion 2017). Circulocuadrado works in collaboration with assembly businesses , as well as in the design of contract and private houses.
