MINIM Art receives the first exposition of Julia Oschatz in Madrid
On Tuesday 25th of February the exposition “Motion of Matter”, from the berliner artist Julia Oschatz, will start at the showroom MINIM Madrid. This is the second exposition that MINIM will receive inside the project MINIM Art created to to bring to the Madrid public innovative proposals for contemporary art in an unconventional environment.
The main pieces of the exposition are three big three-dimensional works that simulate an artistic metaphor in which the human being is coded - a chair, a sand clock and a can of gasoline. Around it we find drawings, paintings and audiovisual works, in which the artist Julia, as in her previous works, invites you to reflect.
The main concept of the exposition is the dominant power that machines have in our social, labor and private habits, and the love-hate relation that this establishes with human beings, due to the dependence and addiction that these objects generate.
Julia Oschatz will be in the oppening of her first exposition in Madrid, which will be celebrated coinciding with the ARCO fair.
