Last Thursday, June 16, 2022, BMI Group – a European benchmark in the roofing and covering sector – inaugurated its “Roof Top Series” cycle at MINIM Madrid. It is a series of talks to discover the secrets and innovations of the roofings, which started with the round table "Let's dream! A new look at the roof”.

The event, organized by the Pati Núñez communication agency, brought together an interesting panel made up of the architect Fermín Vázquez (founding partner of b720), the architect Izaskun Chinchilla (founding partner Izaskun Chinchilla Architects) and the architect Pablo Olalquiaga (Vice Dean of COAM ), and was moderated by Diana Torres, from the BMI Group.

Through several projects, the guests reflected on the function and future of the roof, considered the fifth façade of the building. On the one hand, Fermín Vázquez offered a review of 10 of his most relevant works, showing how the roof was a key element in its construction. Meanwhile, Izaskun Chinchilla defended the importance of roofs in the integration of a project and in relation to the place where it is located, illustrating his position with two of his works: the Campus for the Caminito del Rey and the Castillo de Garcimunoz. For his part, Pablo Olalquiaga focused on the Corrales and Molezún projects for their exemplary modernity using tile roofs.

At the end, attendees were able to enjoy a cocktail in our showroom.
