On 11st of july MINIM Barcelona presented the exhibition called: "Charlote Perriand: l'art d'habiter, l'art de vivre". An admirable event in which we had the privilege of having Pernette Perriand, Charlote Perriand's daughter and her assistant during 20 years. Her husband, Jacques Barsac, architect, design critic, author of numerous books and an expert of Charlote Perriand's work, was also able to come. 

They  both offered us an amazing talk with all kind of stories, that let us find out all about big  Charlotte’s life and work.

The exhibition has been realized next to Cassina- an Italian furniture company that since 2004 has the worldwide rights to produce the furniture that Charlote Perriand has created in collaboration with Pernette Perriand-Barsac- it’s dedicated to the architecture, designer and photographer Charlote Perriand. She offers a closely collaborator with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. She has also been highlighted by creating amazing furniture pieces that have become design icons and thanks to that she laid the foundation for the modern design.

The exhibition features some of the most important works designed by Perriand, as the iconic Nuage, la chaise longue Tokyo, the table Mexique, the Indochine chair, the coffee tables Petalo, or items from the LC collection together with original historic art works that were given by the gallery Miquel Alzueta. Specifically,  Bibliothèque of the “Maison de la Tunisie” and chairs “Paille” (1935). The exhibition also includes a series of photography’s and historical material from Charlote Perriand Archives that helps us know deeply the work of this restless and creative woman that contributed to draw our actual houses.
