Clavel Institute, Madrid
We present the furnishing and lighting project carried out at the Clavel Institute in Madrid, the new Neurosurgery Center that has recently reopened its doors in the center of the city. Located in the San Francisco de Asís Hospital, the Clavel Institute is one of the best centers in non-invasive surgery specialized in spinal and skull treatments whose activity had been developed in Barcelona until now.
Located on the first floor of the Madrid hospital complex, the new clinic has more than 150 square meters that have been furnished by MINIM Madrid. For this project, the team of interior designers from Madrid made a careful selection of contemporary design furniture and lighting pieces from firms that are a benchmark in the sector such as La Palma, Alias, USM, Mobles 114, Nemo and E15. The selection and combination of these pieces was carried out in an attempt to create an atmosphere that combines contemporaneity and functionality and gives each space a modern, clean and neutral style.
The main reception was designed as three connected spaces: comfort zone, reception area and back office. The undisputed star of this space is, without a doubt, the ADD Round Out system by La Palma, whose open “C” - shaped design embraces three complementary tables: 2 round and 1 rectangular, all lacquered in black. The YO T80 adjustable side tables are complemented by the PASS armchairs, also from La Palma, with a black lacquered structure and upholstered in two shades of gray. To separate the comfort zone from the reception area, a USM module was placed as a customer service desk and a higher module as a storage area, both in steel blue. In the backoffice, located behind the USM high module, we find a PEY table by Mobles 114 with chairs - model Rollingframe 52 - from the Alias brand. For lighting in these three areas, the SPAN model of the German brand E15 was chosen, in black lacquered aluminum.
The doctor's office and the meeting room were furnished with PEY tables from Mobles 114 in light gray, Rollingframe 52 chairs for the doctor by Alias and PASS armchairs fromLa Palma for the patients. In these spaces we again find various compositions from the USM firm as a storage solution and - in the medical office - SPAN suspended lamps from E15 . The lighting in the meeting room varies and we find an original combination of Spigolo ceiling lamps - from the Nemo brand - in vertical and horizontal position.
