Last November, Davide Groppi presented his project "Light on the plate" in MINIM
Davide Groppi, designer and entrepreneur, returned to Barcelona after five years, in the hands of the MINIM showroom, to share his project "Light on the plate" with architects, interior designers, designers and lovers of light in general. During the presentation, Davide Groppi explained to the audience how he began to work on the concept of "light on the plate" and revealed the secret that makes him so beloved chefs as Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana), the Alajmo brothers (Le Calandre ) Or Moreno Cedroni (Il Clandestino): "The restaurants that I prefer are those in which you live an experience. I am attracted to conceiving spaces where each client can feel unique. This is how I came to the idea of introducing light into the dish, in this way the light becomes an ingredient of cooking and sensuality is the essential component of the project.
During the presentation, Davide Groppi shared with the professionals of the sector some of his most outstanding projects, as well as the new research paths in which he is working. Among them, how to "bring light anywhere" regardless of the limits of the installation and also his new work with galleries and private collectors to illuminate works of art in a new way, more discreet and more integrated with architecture. Then, the attendees were able to meet Groppi personally, accompanied by a glass of wine, and discover the five facilities created in collaboration with MINIM to bring the light in the plate through the lamps Neuro, Fosbury, Miss, Ovo nel piatto and Tet tet.
